Jon Lester - a member of the ‘09 Verducci Effect watchlist - has a remarkable 106 strikeouts and a mere 30 walks in 92-plus innings this season. Other guys on the list who are pitching well and have stayed healthy thus far: Chad Billingsley , John Danks , Tim Lincecum , Clayton Kershaw , and Jair Jurrjens. If 4 or 5 of these guys make it through the season without major injuries, I wonder what the reasoning will be from the VE enthusiasts? Of course, now that I said this, all of them will get hurt this week!
