Brian McCann has been struggling with blurred vision in his left eye this season, and it is uncertain at this time what is causing it. McCann had Lasik surgery for both eyes in 2007. While I am by no means an expert in this field, it sounds like he could be heading for another Lasik surgery - which in this day and age have become very streamlined and precise.
While they have tried corrective lenses, medication and different eyedrops to resolve this, the blurry vision could be a result of the Lasik procedure itself.
He notices that blurred vision during the day, but it is much more pronounced at night - meaning he could have a form of refractive error (such as corneal astigmatism). If this is the case, another surgery is likely. Something called "excimer laser" may be used to correct astigmatism after LASIK surgery.
Said McCann, "Day games, I’m still seeing a little blurry, but it’s not like it is at nighttime."
In any event, he’s either looking at a second Lasik or another form of corrective surgery. You’re probably going to have to do without McCann for about a week or two, tops.
