I am sorry and saddened to report that Fellow Hardball Times writer and radio host, John Brattain , has passed away. He was an excellent writer, often mixing an undeniable sense of humor into his intelligent baseball writing - and frequently writing about the Toronto Blue Jays. John is survived by a wife and two teenage daughters. May our thoughts be with his family during this very sad and difficult time - he will be sorely missed.
