What is going on here? Both Alex Rodriguez and Chipper Jones sustained similar injuries to their Quadriceps on the same day, and news is out this morning that A-Rod could miss some time (it appears that A-Rod’s strain was worse that Chipper’s). A trip to the DL was not ruled out by GM Brian Cashman, although all indications point to this injury being a minor injury - similar to the one that Derek Jeter sustained this season.
I would not expect A-Rod to miss much time with this injury, despite Cashman’s uncertainty regarding a DL stint. Expect a return this week.
Meanwhile, Chipper Jones - a historically frequent flier to the DL - managed to start in last night’s game! Keep him active in all formats, as he appears to be good to go.
